Privacy Policy
This policy describes what personal data we collect, how it is used and shared, retention rules, and your rights.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the FitFo iOS app and related web surfaces and describes how we process personal data across AI coaching, photo recognition, workout and nutrition management, dashboards, achievements/gamification, and community features.
2. Information We Collect
- Account and profile information, such as email, nickname, account identifiers, and support communications.
- AI coach and emotional support data, including persistent chat content, goals, MBTI interaction preferences, and feedback records.
- Photo recognition data, including equipment/meal images, recognition outputs, and related context metadata.
- Workout and nutrition data, such as plans, set logs, progress, food logs, and related wellness indicators.
- Community interaction data, including posts, comments, likes, reports, and moderation logs.
- Device and usage data, including device model, OS version, access logs, consent records, and baseline analytics.
3. How We Use Information
- To provide and maintain FitFo services.
- To power personalized AI coaching, emotional support, and adaptive planning.
- To process equipment and meal photo recognition and generate actionable suggestions.
- To support community features, moderation, and abuse prevention.
- To send product updates, launch notices, and service announcements.
- To improve recognition quality, recommendations, and user experience.
- AI coaching, greetings, and photo recognition may be processed by Alibaba Cloud and DeepSeek as described in Section 4. This happens only after you grant permission in the app, and is not used to train their general models.
- To protect security, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
4. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data only in the following cases:
- Service providers (for email delivery, analytics, and infrastructure) on a need-to-process basis.
- Third-party AI providers used only to generate results you request: Alibaba Cloud (including Tongyi Qianwen / DashScope) and DeepSeek.
- Legal compliance when required by law or necessary to protect users and platform security.
- Business transfers, such as a merger or asset sale, where data transfer is legally required.
4.1 What we send to Alibaba Cloud and DeepSeek
If you allow it in the app, we may send the following personal data to Alibaba Cloud and/or DeepSeek so they can run inference and return a result:
- Messages you type or dictate to FitPal, including questionnaire answers in chat.
- Photos you choose to analyze (meals, gym equipment, or images attached in chat).
- Relevant profile, goal, workout, and nutrition context needed to personalize coaching or greetings (for example timezone, language, and training/nutrition records associated with your account).
We send this data to generate FitPal replies, home greetings, and food/equipment recognition results. This sharing is for providing the FitFo service only. It is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.
4.2 Training and equal protection
FitFo does not allow Alibaba Cloud and DeepSeek to use this data to train their general-purpose models.
We require these providers to protect personal data at a level no less than this Privacy Policy, and to use it only to process the inference request we submit.
4.3 How to withdraw
You can allow or withdraw this sharing in the app: Settings → About → Third-Party AI. If you choose Don't Allow, FitFo will not send the data above to Alibaba Cloud and DeepSeek. Workout logging, the exercise library, and community features remain available. Deleting your account also stops this sharing.
5. Data Retention
We retain personal data only as long as needed for the purposes described here. After account deletion, direct identifiers are removed; AI chats, workout/nutrition records, and related operational data are deleted or anonymized; community content may be retained in de-identified form to preserve discussion continuity, subject to legal and operational requirements.
6. Your Rights
- You may request access, correction, export, or deletion of your personal data.
- Where applicable, you may request anonymization of identifiable data.
- You may opt out of marketing emails at any time.
- You may withdraw permission to share data with Alibaba Cloud and DeepSeek at any time in the app (Settings → About → Third-Party AI).
- Certain requests may be processed subject to applicable law and identity verification requirements.

7. Children's Privacy
FitFo is not directed to children under 13. If we learn that such data was collected, we will delete it promptly.
8. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no method of transmission or storage is absolutely secure.
9. Policy Updates
We may update this policy as product features or legal requirements evolve. Material updates will be reflected by the effective date.

11. IP Address and Server Routing
We use your IP address to route your request to the nearest server and select the appropriate language. This data is processed at request time and is not stored or shared.
